Happy New Year, Europa Challenge-rs!

I put up some revised information about the 2013 Challenge on the tab at the top of the blog. Not much has changed- I took out the specialty challenges is all. Last year Josh and I talked about coming up with some new challenges but life got in the way and I didn't get around to finalizing anything. This year if you have a particular challenge that you'd like to challenge yourself with, I encourage you to just go for it. Some of the things you could do include
  • reading the works of a specific author, like Elena Ferrante, Massimo Carlotto, Amelie Nothomb or Jane Gardam, who's published a bunch of books with Europa;
  • dedicating yourself to the Tonga line or the World Noir line;
  • picking a specific series of books, like Jean-Claude Izzo's Marseilles Trilogy,
  • picking new releases only, or reissues only, or out of print books, or what-have-you.
 If you'd like to do the 2013 Challenge, in whatever form, just go ahead and get started. You don't have to do an introductory post if you've done one in the past, or if you're new and don't feel like it.

Thank you to each one of you for being a part of this project and happy reading in 2013!
